Senior Project Update

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've posted anything on my blog. I've been swamped with schoolwork and with my senior project for the past couple of weeks now. However, I'm so excited to be done with my two background pans for my film and wanted to share them with you. They are 10.5 inches wide and 45 inches tall. So they are huge pans if you think about it!! Both were scanned in and colored in Photoshop. And man it took a long time to do so (coloring that is). The first pan is going to be the opening shot of my film ( front of the tree) and the second is the last shot of the film (the back of the tree). So enjoy them and tell me what you think!

Love Is In The Air

I finally got the chance to scan in and post my assignment four final from my illustration: Materials and Techniques class. It was a lot of fun painting it. It has become my favorite so far in this class! YAY! Anyway, I first inked it with a quill pen and painted it with gouache. After that was done, I went over it with prisma colored pencils. The final touch to it was the aging and cracking varnish with gave the painting that yellowish tint. And that's about it. Enjoy!

A Project At 4 In THe Morning

I don't know about you, but when I have so much on my plate at once, I tend to think about everything that I need to do and how I'm going accomplish that certain task. This could go on and on sometimes, causing me to not sleep because my brain just doesn't know when to shut off. Anyway, this is what I did that night, instead of sleeping.

Evolution of Monsters

So, I had a conversation with one of my friends on senior projects, the other day and since the characters I'm going to be using in my project are from my Munchers posse, I thought it would cool to show how each of my Muncher characters changed throughout the years of their existence. So I created a poster for each of them. However, it was a lot of work getting them all done because I had to flip through all my old sketchbooks, scan them in and then put them together in Photoshop. I chose to color the last design because it is the most recent, and it also brings out the character more. I thought it was a nice touch overall. I really didn't have the time to be doing this in the first place, but I thought it would be fun. And it was! So here they are. Enjoy!
